Terms of use

hotdrop is a community where users share, vote on and discuss deals from third-party stores. hotdrop operates the site. We don't sell products and we're not involved in any purchase you make from those stores.

You must be at least 16 to create an account. You can sign up with an email and password, or with Google or GitHub if you prefer.

You're responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account. If you suspect someone else has accessed it, change your password and let us know.

One account per person, unless we've explicitly agreed otherwise.

You keep ownership of what you post (deals, comments, images, your bio). By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, adapt to different formats and distribute it on hotdrop for as long as it's published.

You confirm that you have the right to post that content and that it doesn't break the law or infringe anyone else's rights. New deals are reviewed before they go live, and we may reject them.

You may not: post fake or misleading deals; spam; promote your own products or stores without clearly saying so; harass, insult or threaten others; manipulate votes, including by using multiple accounts; scrape or otherwise collect data from the site by automated means without our permission; interfere with the operation or security of the service; or create new accounts to get around a ban.

Our community guidelines form part of these terms.

We may review, reject or remove any content that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, and we may suspend or close accounts. When we reject a deal, we'll tell you why.

Anyone can report deals and comments. We review reports, but we can't guarantee that all content on the site has been reviewed or is accurate.

Deals are posted by users and link to third-party stores. Prices, stock and conditions can change at any time without notice, and we don't guarantee that a deal is still available or that its details are correct.

We're not a party to any purchase. Your relationship is with the store, which is solely responsible for the product, delivery, returns and warranty. Always check the terms on the store's site before you buy.

In the future, some outbound links may become affiliate links, meaning hotdrop could earn a commission at no extra cost to you. If that happens, we'll disclose it clearly.

hotdrop is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, hotdrop isn't liable for indirect losses, or for losses arising from purchases made at third-party stores, inaccurate information posted by users, or the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion is permanent and removes the content linked to your account.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the community or the service.

We may update these terms. The date of the latest update is shown at the top, and we'll give you reasonable notice on the site before significant changes take effect. If you keep using hotdrop after that, you're accepting the updated terms.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
